When the Milo slander piece appeared, I was surprised to see that everyone lapped it up, without actually checking for context, where it came from, and where it originated from. The above video gives ample context and sources. I was surprised that many of my friends of which I hold many in high esteem stooped so low as to just echo this, without asking questions. Yes, I am disappointed. I thought you guys were better than that.
Apparently not.
In the meantime, I’ll take a break from the rampant identity politics and scapegoating. Yes, I am normally happy to debate, but I’m too disappointed at the level of herd mentality of people that I previously held as staunch individualists and iconoclasts, like I try to be myself.
I’ll check in every once in a while to see if that has changed, but excuse me for not holding my breath.
